Last week we held workshops with students from the University for the Creative Arts Canterbury, to create 24-hour interventions at the Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable, exploring its spaces and suggesting how it might be adapted. With artists Adam Chodzco and Rosa Ainley, in partnership with Whitstable Biennale.

Manalo & White have been selected to transform a Grade II-listed church in Bangor, north Wales into a £3.2 million home for the Frân Wen youth theatre. The project will create spaces for performances, rehearsals, workshops and studios within the extended historic building and around the churchyard.

Submitted for Arts Council England capital funding: our proposals for the Radcliffe Building at Milton Keynes Arts Centre. The alterations will improve circulation, accessibility and thermal performance, and will create a new cafe, studios, workshops, education and events spaces with better connections to the courtyard and historic setting.

Our proposals for rearranging Eastbourne’s Towner Gallery have been submitted for Arts Council England capital funding. Enlarging the foyer will create a more welcoming entrance space connected to a cinema cafe, whilst also improving the arrangement of the studio spaces to suit their future programme. M&W will work on integrated artist commissions for the project with two significant artists yet to be selected.

Our modified “Loops” chair for MARK Product pays tribute to the faded tea and fag break chairs found on farms and outside factories. Intended for outdoor use, it uses two shades of Kvadrat’s Patio fabric with a frame painted in a car body spray shop.
